Moms deserve to look good!
So, I keep getting asked, “why focus on moms now instead of lawyers.” Good question, easy answer: Because moms are more FUN! I’ve spent the past several years focusing on business professional and business casual clothing and I’m ready for a new challenge.
My interest in working with moms was triggered by two different events. First, I had the opportunity to work with two very different women, both mothers of 3, within a short-time of each other. This was during the peak of my “Lawyer” days. It was the most fun I had had working in a long time. Not only because I genuinely liked the women, but because the jobs presented a new host of challenges for me and made me realize mom life is much more difficult to dress for than a day at the office.
The second event was my pregnancy and the birth of my 3rd son. During my 7 - yes 7 - months of bedrest, I had a lot of time to reflect on what I wanted from my business. Once Boone was born, my body felt more foreign than it ever did after the births of my first two sons. Maybe it was due to my utter lack of exercise, but everything felt out of place. That really was my “a ha” moment. If I, a professional who worked with clothes daily, was having a hard time figuring out what had happened to my body, I’m sure other women had the same issues.
So I asked around and received great feedback from friends and former clients on what they most needed help with. The results of which are my new “Style for Moms” division.
What can you expect from Style for Moms? Simply put, you’ll get a stylist who really understands what moms need and want. Someone who will listen to you (a novel idea, no?) and give you the feedback needed to help you find your own unique style.
